Spring Hill Cemetery Work Days

by Susan Zeni

7 June 2019

Dear Friends of Spring Hill Cemetery,

Today was a lovely day at the cemetery with blue skies and mild temps. Lots of singing birds and butterflies joined us. There were only 6 of us that made the workday. Several more had signed up, but were unable to make it.

With a small group, we focused on clearing the paths, removing some of the more invasive plants, and Brad even got in a few headstone cleanings. The paths were badly in need of raking, as the first and second attachments show. The third attachment shows Brad next to the just cleaned Levinia Parmeter stone. Brad was only able to tackle a dozen or so or our headstones this time, but they cleaned up beautifully.

The last attachment is of our work party. MANY THANKS TO THOSE WHO WERE ABLE TO MAKE IT!! And many thanks to Regional Parks for their support of our efforts.

Our next workday is scheduled for Friday, August 2nd. Please mark your calendars and join us.

Best Regards,

Sue
