Spring Hill Cemetery Work Days

by Susan Zeni

7 September 2012

Dear Friends of Spring Hill Cemetery,

In my absence, I have heard that Jeremy did a magnificent job of coordinating last Friday's workday. Six sturdy volunteers showed up under sunny skies.

Volunteer Jerry Lites (also our photographer for the day) reported:

We had a great day at the cemetery. The weather was very good. We were able to clean the pathways, and also pick up the loose limbs and debris. It really wasn't too bad. The truck was not full, but we made a good showing. Jeremy did a good job as our leader for the day.

I have attached a few of Jerry's photos commemorating the day. The first two and the fourth are of debris removal and the raking of paths. The third shot shows Sally and Rae cleaning the mold and mildew off of the Zilhart enclosure. And the last picture is the group gathered in front of what will be Arletta McIssac's burial spot. Arletta died in July, and her ashes will be buried here, next to her husband, next summer.

Thanks to all of you who came out to the workday! Our next workday (the next to last one of the year) is scheduled for Friday October 5th. Please mark your calendars and come join us, if you can.

Best Regards,

Sue
