Spring Hill Cemetery Work Days

by Susan Zeni

21 February 2020

Dear Friends of Spring Hill Cemetery,

We had a lovely day on Friday under sunny skies. Seven of us gathered to tackle the tasks. The Cemetery had quite a bit of debris from winter wind events, and we spent much of the time whipping the paths into shape (picture 1) and hauling away downed tree limbs (picture 2). We stopped when the dump truck overflowed with our gatherings (picture 3). We weren't able to get to searching for more stones, as we need a bigger crew for that, but we hope to get to exploring again next time.

This time of year sees many flowering plants flourishing in the cemetery (picture 4). It's a nice time of year to drop by, if you haven't been to Spring Hill in awhile. Our next workday is scheduled for April 17th. Please mark your calendars and come and join us if you can, we can use the help!

I want to thank those of you who were able to join me (picture 5), and to all of you who support our efforts.

Best Regards,

Sue
