  Molly Rowntree was born 23 August 1771, married Thomas Blasingame in South Carolina, had several children, then they moved to Warren County, Kentucky, where he died either late 1804 or early 1805, she made the deed of gift to her children in 1811. She married Larkin Venable 22 November 1811 in Warren County, Kentucky. They moved to Lawrence County, Alabama prior to the 1820 census. Larkin died before 1840. Molly died between 1860 - 1870.

  To all to whom these presents may come or concerned, Know ye therefore that I, Molly Blasingame, of the County, State of Kentucky and Warren County, being of sound and perfect memory for Sundry good causes, in myself materially & deliberately contemplated, do of my free bounty and voluntary will give and confirm to my well beloved daughter, Elizabeth Blasingame, one negro girl named Ginny, also I give unto my daughter Sarah Blasingame one negro girl named Mariah, also I give to my son Thomas Blasingame one negro boy named Lewis; also I give unto the rest of my children four negroes, viz: Philis, Sucks, Prince, and Lucy, them and their increase forever to be divided amongst them equally at my death. I warrant and defend from all persons and confirm the title to the said children, their heirs or assigns forever, them or they complying with the demand of the law in the taxation thereof. Given under my hand and seal this 11 day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & seven.

  I, Jonathan Hobson, Clerk of the County Court of Said County do certify that this deed of gift from Molly Blasengame to Elizabeth Blasengame & others her children was proved before me as deputy clerk for William Chapline this then clerk of said County Court (as appears by endorcement on the back thereof in my hand writing) by the oaths of John Mulroy & Balam Thompson, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto. Whereupon I have this day recorded said deed with this certificate this 26th day of July 1837.
