Notes:

Information for this branch of the family comes from Mike Jones, a Logan family researcher.

From Mike Jones (email, 6 July 2004):

The source for knowing that Levina (or Lavina) Logan was the daughter of Zachariah Logan and Margaret "Peggy" Brown Logan is Zachariah Logan's "Proof of Death," found in his probate records in Perry County, Illinois. Zachariah Logan died 11 December 1864. His heirs were listed as:
-Margarett Logan (his widow) [This was his second wife, Margaret "Peggy" Brown Logan having died previously.]
-Matilda Logan Thomas
-Joab Logan
-Reuben Logan
-Drury Logan
-Heirs of Vina Cockrill
-Heirs of Mahala Garrison [known as "Milly"]
-Heirs of Carrol Logan
-Zachariah T. Logan [son of Zachariah and his second wife]

As you can see, Levina or Lavina was known by her nickname: "Vina." I am intrigued by the middle name "Carol" you cite because of Carrol (1) Bias Logan, "Vina's" brother.

From second email (6 July 2004):

-Concerning the Trammel Fork Baptist Church... Reverend Joseph Logan, Zachariah Logan's father, was one of the early ministers at Trammel Fork Church; thus it's interesting to me to note the LOGANs and affiliated families who lived in the area and attended church there. Joseph Logan helped constitute and pastor other churches in Allen and Warren County. He died in Warren County, KY, in October, 1812. I found his migration route interesting in terms of some of the Cockrill background: VA>NC>SC>KY.
