  W. H. Hardin said that Wilmouth was "an English woman." While Wilmouth had English ancestry, starting with her great great grandfather, Nicholas George I, who had emigrated from England and had owned land in the Isle of Wight CO., Va., prior to 1638, her family had been in Virginia for five generations. With the marriage of Henry and Wilmouth the name Wilmouth comes into the family, and it is used for the next three generations.
