From Jim Lancina (email to Susan Zeni 29Nov2010):

...Robert E. Lee, I was always taught to call him "Uncle Lee," who is the younger, top button on his coat buttoned, label "Rea" on bottom of the photograph. He was a blacksheep who was exiled to Grass Valley for years, where my mother was told to call him "Uncle Bob Reed." He later came to Santa Rosa to live with my great grandmother and died there around 1934-36. The stories are too long to write.

Shares gravestone with his brother, James Floyd McReynolds.
