Notes:

In the 1853 Hagans-Cockrill wagon train, or perhaps met the train at Sacramento. Partner of J. A. Hardin. Was a merchant and cattle rancher in Sonoma, Mendocino counties and Northern Nevada. There is a village in South West Oregon named after him and his family name has an interesting history.
