  To them at their fine home in Pappinsville, were born nine children of whom but four reached maturity...  
Clarissa is enumerated in the 1850 Census for Bates Co., MO in the household of F. F. Eddy as Clarissa Eddy, a 26 year old "Hotel Keeper" born in Kentucky.

First husband murdered. Also, outlived her second husband and supposedly moved to Covela, CA.
