Notes:

Listed with husband living in Bay Township, Jackson Co., AR in 1860 Census.

In the 1870 Census (M593, Roll 67), Augusta Township, Woodruff Co., page 44, dwelling 340, head of household, Julia H. Langford, a. 56, bp. SC, Keeping House, Real Estate=$800, Personal = $200. Only her daughter, Nancy M. (a. 13, bp. AR) is the only remaining direct family member living with her at that time. Her granddaughter Sallie Webster (a. 5. bp. AR, from Elizabeth who is deceased) is also living with her, as well as a 13 year old domestic servant, July V. Blie (a. 13, bp AR). Her son-in-law Edward Hess (a. 30 bp. VA) and his two children, Mary Hess (a. 5, bp. AR) and Sarah J. Hess (a. 3, bp. AR) from a previous marriage listed living with Julia in 1870 Census.

Note from Paula Blankenship (a descendent of Thomas Warner family) sent to me in 1994 by Floyd Warner:
...it seems that Francis [Langford] was 25 and married to D. S. when her father was 56 and married to a 40 yr. old Juliah or Julia H., who is 56 in 1870, was really 46 in 1860 (instead of 40 as listed -- women will fabricate age-wise, you know!), then maybe Francis' mother was Julia. Francis would have been born in Georgia as were Parthenia, Sarah, and Elizabeth. This agrees with the census info which lists Georgia as Francis' birthplace... In 1850, Stephen Langford was probably in GA or MISS, judging from where the children were born. Julia "H" might be Julia Hess Langford, and Edward, Mary & Sarah, listed in the 1870 household, would be her brothers and his children.

Julia Langford's Will dated 4 Aug 1871, was filed in Woodruff County, 18 Oct 1872. Drawer 4 Folio 6, Woodruff County Probate Court Records. She wanted all of her "worldly objects of every kind real and personal" divided up in four equal parts:
A part to each of her two daughters, Francis Warner and Nancy Matilda Langford, one part to her granddaughter Sarah Francis Webster, and one part in trust to her son-in-law, Edward Hess: to be given to the two children of her deceased daughter, Mary Frances Hess and Sarah Tallith Hess.
