There is a Sampson A. Wright listed in 1850 Census (M432 Roll 637), Montgomery Co., NC, dwelling #451, head of household, age 28 (1822), "Farmer", estate worth $2000. Enumerated with Lovedy, a. 23, Eli, a. 21 m, and Welburn, a. 9/12 m. This particular Sampson would be 30 years younger than Edward Wright's son, Willis Wright.

This Sampson A. Wright is perhaps of a later generation (maybe a son?). Also there is a marriage recorded between a Sampson A. Wright and a Lovedy Chappel, 02/25/1847 according to Montgomery Co., NC, Marriage Records 1844-1868.
