Gary Rodgers, the webmaster of The Cazadero, California Website, is related to the Adams family by marriage in a round about way. He writes of the Adams family in an email message from 03/28/03:
  Some history: Levi Adams' family was of Tory political persuasion and left New York for Canada to avoid political persecution. The Tories after the Revolutionary War largely defected to Canada. The Tories were Allied with England and were at risk in the U.S. Levi, according to the Adams' family, was a cousin to Pres. John Quincy Adams linked through Abraham Adams. Problem in confirming this as the "official" published President's genealogy omits the Tory connected family members.
