From Forerunners: A History or Genealogy of the Strickler Families Their Kith and Kin, by Harry M. Strickler (Harrisonburg, Virginia: 1925), p. 259:

Abraham Strickler, known as Abraham, Sr. , lived on the hill at the south end of the bridge and opposite the White House... After the death of Abraham, Sr. his son Abraham, Jr. lived here and he gave the White House across the river to his son Henry... Abraham Strickler, Jr. lived at the old homestead at the south end of the White House bridge and is buried there.

 

 

The Abraham Strickler Cemetry is on the southwest hill above the White House Bridge, several hundred yards from the Lee Highway (211).
