Allen County Kentucky Day Book entries for an Anderson Cockrill

From Allen County Kentucky (Order Book) Day Book 1826-1837 by Martha W. Jackson (Scottsville, KY, 1992):

  p. 5. September Court 1826: The court appoint ANAK DAWSON guardian to JINSEY ANN CHAMBERS infant orphan of FRANCIS G. CHAMBERS upon his entering into bond with ALEXANDER RITCHEY and ANDERSON COCKRILL his security in the penalty of $500 and thereupon they entered into & executed bond according to law.  
  p. 26. Monday December 17th 1827: [Present RICHARD WILMOTT.] JAMES VENABLE this day appeared in Court and renewed his bond as constable with THOMAS SUTTON, ANDERSON COCKRILL and MOSES NEALE his security according to law.  
  p. 42. December Term 1828: Upon the application of SUSANNA TRAVIS, widow of JOHN TRAVIS Decd. letters of administration is granted to her and JAMES TRAVIS, Sr. upon the estate of said JOHN TRAVIS, Decd.
Upon herself and said JAMES Administrators entering bond in the penalty of $3000 with ANDERSON COCKRILLE, BERRYMAN CORNWELL, JAMES WILLIAM and JAMES TRAVIS, Jr. as their securities and thereupon said administrators and securities entered into an executed Bond of the penalty above and took the oaths required.
 
  p. 56. October County Court 1829: Ordered that DAVID WALKER be appointed special guardian to bond out WILLIAM WILSHIRE HAWKINS a poor child, to ANDERSON COCKRILL to learn the art trade and mystery of farming in all its branches according to law and thereupon then parties acknowledge the indenture of apprenticeship in open court. P131  
  p. 78. June Court 1830: Ordered that ANDERSON COCKRILL, LARKIN D. COCKRILL, JAMES TRAVIS and JAMES VENABLE or any three settle with THO SUTTON late deputy sheriff is actings and doings of said SUTTON respecting the estate of JOHN BARNHART decd. which came to his hands as sheriff and report to the court. P182  
  p. 106. October County Court 1831: Ordered that JNO EMMERSON, AND COCKRILLE, WILL DEERING & ZEPH PINSON or any three after being first sworn do inventory and appraise the personal estate and slaves if any of DREWRY BURTON and report to the court.  
  p. 109. February Term 1832: Ordered that THO SUTTON, JAS VENABLE, WILLIS MITCHELL SR., and AND COCKRILLE or any three settle the accounts of the adm'er and adm'x of JOHN TRAVIS decd. and report to the court.  
  p. 122. October & December Term 1832: ANDERSON HAMMETT this day produced his commission appointing him coroner took the oath reqd. and entered into bond according to law with WILLIS MITCHELL, SR. AND COCKRILL, JNO EMMERSON and JOHNSON J. COCKRILL his security.  
  p. 149. September Term 1834: ANDERSON COCKRILL is appointed Constable in room of HENRY S. MITCHELL resigned whereupon the said ANDERSON COCKRILL took the Oath Required by law and entered into bond to the Commonwealth with ANDERSON HAMMETT, WILLIAM BLACKBURN his security in the penalty of $2000 conditioned according to Law.  
  p. 181. September County Court 1836: ANDERSON COCKRILL is made constable of Allen county and thereupon he with ANDERSON HAMMETT, ALEX RITCHEY entered into and executed bond in the penalty of $2000 conditioned according to law and was sworn into office.
