  Obituary -- Senator Charles Henry Edwin Hardin, director of the Los Angeles First National Bank at Ocean Park, Ca., and resident of Santa Monica since 1905 died... He was born 72 years ago at Pleasant Hill, MO... He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, and also of the Law School at Harvard University where he won the Founders' Medal for oratory, and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After graduation he returned to the west, engaged in cattle business and was twice elected state senator in Nevada, served a short term as lieutenant governor, and was commissioner to the St. Louis World's Fair from his state in 1904. His cattle interests were largely in California. He owned extensive acreage in Mendocino County, Ca. He was a member of the Bohemian Club in San Francisco.
