  Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Wilson was the oldest of the children of George and Serena Wilson. She was born 12 February 1866 in Santa Rosa, Ca. As a young woman, she was a friend of Luther Burbank, the well known naturalist and originator of fruits and flowers, who lived in Santa Rosa, Ca. Luther Burbank asked her to marry him, but she married a younger man, Arthur Rowland Hughes, on 22 February 1885. Molly d. 6 Feb. 1915 - Ilwaka, Washington.
