Thompson Mize's brother. In 1880 she resided at the Fulkerson home property according to the Richard Fulkerson biography in An Illustrated History of Sonoma County (listed as such in the 1880 Census). Mentioned in Richard Fulkerson's will as Mary Henderson. Buried as Mary F. Mize Henderson. The Sonoma Historical Museum has a photo in its collection of Richard and Sally Fulkerson. On the back of this photo there is a newspaper clipping ( Press Democrat ?) attached which is an obituary for "Mrs. Mary Mize." One could assume that perhaps this photo had originally belonged to her. Also, it is curious that she is called Mary Mize and not Mary Henderson (perhaps a divorce?). Handwritten on the top of the clipping is "Dec 30, 1896." "Buried Jan 1 1897" is handwritten at the end. Also hand-written on the back of this photo: "Taken on their Golden Wedding day but not the dress she wore white." Considering how young Richard and Sarah look, it probably more likely that this is there silver anniversary or something long before their 50th. |
