Claude Harris Dies at 63

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday from the Memorial Chapel of Lafferty Smith for Claude Weatherington Harris, 63 of Santa Rosa, a retired Oakland policeman, who died at a Santa Rosa Hospital Friday after a brief illness. Mr. Harris retired from the Oakland Police force nine years ago after serving there 25 years. He was born in Santa Rosa. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Harris and the great grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fulkerson who settled in Santa Rosa in 1854. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. C. W. Harris, and a sister, Ruby Duncan both of Santa Rosa. The Rev. Shirley Sherrill will officiate at the services and burial will be at the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery.
