Francis nicknamed Frankie. Photocopy (obtained from Dr. John Baker) of their photos from Allen County News Scrapbook:
	These beautifully preserved photos are of General George Washington Mansfield and his wife. The General was the father of William W. Mansfield of Allen county, and these pictures were made about 1850 in Scottsville. They now are in the possession of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen P. Smith of Louisville who loaned them to the NEWS.

A note and group sheet from Dr. Baker, approximates the date of birth and the place as Nash Co., NC. However, there is this comment from Herbert J. Boothroyd in a letter to me from 15 June 2000:
	[this] and later 3d Generation references which give Anderson's siblings as born in Nash Co should safely just give North Carolina. The predecessor county to Rockingham is more likely, but lacking adequate clues on just when and where they were that period.

In Marriage Records of Allen County, Kentucky 1815-1865, compiled by Ona A. Willoughby (Scottsville, KY: 1938), there is a listing for a Frances Cockrill, marrying a Washington Mansfield, 4-5-1817, with "no return" as the officiant.
