Notes:

What is the connection between the Travis, Champ and Anderson families? The Travis family name shows up in dealings with the Cockrill family in the Allen County, Kentucky day book records. Is there any relation with this family and the Travis family which might have been members of the 1853 Hagans-Cockrill immigration?

From ANDERSON, COCKRILL, MOFFETT, SMITH & Allied Families of Northern Virginia -- VOLUME 1: Cockrill Families of Northern Virginia, by James A. Burgess (James A. Burgess, Arizona: 2002), page 3:

2nd [wife] Mary TRAVIS who may be the daughter or sister of Thomas TRAVIS of King George County, Virginia who left his will in King George County, Virginia dated 22 Aug 1735.

From page 12 of the same volume:

After the death of Walter ANDERSON, Mary Travis ANDERSON obtained a continuing license in the ordinary she and Walter had run for so many years. Mary ANDERSON married James JONES after Walter ANDERSON died in 1732.
