From a letter about the McGuire family history written in 1904 by Elizabeth McGuire Trosper:

My mother's father name was Squire Wilcoxen and his wife's maiden name was Tatum. They had a family of twelve children, eight girls and four boys. Three boys grew to manhood, Jordon, James and Samuel. Tatum died in infancy. The girls were named Betsy and Patsy, Taletha and Sarah and Amy and Anna. Ellenore was the youngest.
