Notes:

From the History and Genealogy of the Bieber, Beaver, Biever, Beeber Family, by the Reverend Irvin M. Beaver (Reading, Pennsylvania; 1939), page 553:

Jacob Beaver, b. March 2, 1823, d. Aug. 7, 1894; m. Dec. 30, 1845, to Rebecca More [sic], b. Feb. 10, 1823, d. May 11, 1917. She was a sister to Nancy, wife of Joseph Roads, the son of Abraham and Anna Beaver Roads. They resided near Hebron, Licking Co., O. Their home was on "Dog Leg Road," about 1 1/2 miles from National Pike, which since the early 1800's has been a cross country highway. It was the same farm where Jacob and the other sons and daughters of Martin Beaver were raised. In 1870 Jacob removed the old brick homestead and built a fine house. In later years he also bought back the farms parts of Martin, the father's land, that had been inherited by other sons, so that he accumulated an extensive piece of fine farm land. Both are bur. in Licking cem. near Newark, O. Issue 9 children.

Two old photos obtained from Jeanne Miller:

From her notes written on the back, the date which is written could indicate that the house was built in 1850, though the photo is more likely to have been taken some time in the 1890's.

From this photograph, Ross Williams, Beaver family historian, went out in Hebron, Licking Co. around 2001, and found that this house was still standing. The identical brick patterns along one of the windows in the old photo and the recent one confirms the identity. Ross was told though, that the builders and original inhabitants of the house were Martin Beaver and Jacob Beaver, who were believed to be by the people he spoked with, to be David Beaver's son. However, one could assume that this Martin was the son of David's brother Abraham, and who also had a son named Jacob, but there is no documentation available to me at this time to support this or show ownership (one also assumes that this is the same place mentioned in the above I. M. Beaver quote). Ohio Beaver Family historian, Janice Patterson, has also told me that this house had indeed belonged to Jacob Beaver.

It is also unknown at this time if this particular Jacob is the same Jacob Beaver whose three children where members of the 1853 Hagans-Cockrill immigration party. From the names of this Jacob's children (I. M. Beaver, p. 556-557) this appears not be the same individual. Also, from census information, it appears that the "wagon train Jacob" was born about 1814 in Virginia, contrary to the information we have for Martin Beaver's son who was born 28 Dec 1823 in Licking County, OH (as listed in I. M. Beaver's book).
